On February 10th, La Farga de l’Hospitalet will host the awards ceremony for the second edition of the NOVA Awards, prizes created to highlight research and innovation in industrial processes, including solids, fluids, and emissions capture and filtration technologies in industry.
Established in 2024 by the international trade shows Exposolidos, Polusolidos, and Expofluidos, the NOVA Awards owe their prestige in part to the high qualifications of the jury members, who, in this new edition, are leading figures in each of the sectors. Exposolidos contributes four members with solid track records: Josep Mª Capdevila (CAPERVA); Stephanie Vorkauf (VORKAUF); Jordi Martín (TMI); and Josep Mª Franquet (WAM SPAIN).
For its part, Polusolidos adds three key technical profiles in collection, filtration, and environmental control: Miguel A. Pizarro (FILTRATEX); Rocío Cruz (DEFISA); and Igone Pérez (AFF). Meanwhile, Expofluidos incorporates three professionals with extensive experience in fluid handling and control: Xavier Miquel (IBERFLUID), Josep Beltrán (MCR), and David Berga (RUSELL FINEX).
Adding to this is the academic and scientific perspective of Elisabeth Engel, Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, a leading figure in research and development of advanced materials. Her participation brings independence, rigor, and an innovative approach to the evaluation of the applications.
