The GEMÜ R470 Tugela double-eccentric butterfly valves and the GEMÜ R480 Victoria butterfly valve have been assessed according to SIL. Both were rated at the SIL 2 level in testing carried out by EXIDA, an independent organization. Testing was based on the international standard in accordance with IEC 61508/IEC61511.
SIL certification provides users with additional reassurance and attests to the reliability. Therefore the GEMÜ butterfly valves are perfectly suited to safety-relevant applications
